I always have my latest issue of ViVi lying around my bedroom floor for weeks on end where I randomly flick through them for a bit of inspiration. When I can't get family members to bring over cheaper copies from HK, it turns into an expensive habit but I kind of treat them as Look Books. For this reason, I am always behind with scanning the magazine in because it takes me ages to get through it, despite not being able to read the hiragana/katakana. So finally, here are my picks of my favourite pages from the June issue!
See my Flickr for other pages I liked but didn't quite make the cut.

i love your vivi scans. I always save my favs on my laptop. I wish i could get my hands on the mags. I always have a good read through them when i go to my hairdressers because she's japanese. The models really can pull off anything! x

ReplyDeleteI often find UK magazines can be a bit samey, as they tend to all feature the same trends at the same time, so I love looking at overseas magazines for inspiration too!

ReplyDeleteI always get relatives to bring back Japanese magazines when they visit me, but there's gotta be a way or social media trade that can make it more affordable to get a hold of magazines from all over the world.

ReplyDeleteCool! When I went to Japan, my bags were so heavy because I kept buying Japanese fashion magazines and insisted on flying with them all the way to NZ. I love how crazy the styling is and the layouts are so nuts too.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE these page layouts. All the speech bubbles and little cartoons dotted around makes me feel really transported and like I'm a kid reading a great comic. The ensembles are pretty lively. Some great pieces I'd certainly wear. I can see why you spend the money on these.
ReplyDeleteI've never read any Murakami to that's just made my list :)
