One of my birthday presents was this fun colouring book
by Nina Chakrabarti and it is the most perfect procrastination book ever. I have it in my room and find myself flipping to a random page and doodling away to my hearts content. It's pretty much like the colouring books you have when you're little, except fashion filled and none of those join the dots activities.

Another little present that I was given were these Hello Kitty Jelly Beans. As you guys probably know by now, I am a bit of a sucker for Hello Kitty. The love for the mouthless kitty has not dampened since I first discovered her when I was little! I remember when all my Hello Kitty things came from Hong Kong because it was impossible to buy Sanrio goodies over here...oh how that has changed!
I haven't bought a magazine in ages and I've realised that I buy most of my magazines in the Winter months because somehow, I find more time to read them during this time. I guess there is nothing better than to curl up on the sofa with a hot drink and a good read. So armed with Jelly beans, a magazine, a cup of tea (and a doodle in my colouring book if I get bored) this is the perfect way to spend a gloomy afternoon!

That book looks amazing, where is it from?? xx
Ooohh I've seen that book a couple of times and would really love it but I just don't feel creative enough to own it though - I feel like it might get wasted on me.
Love the look of your doodles though! Would love to see more when you do them!
Hello Kitty jelly beans = best thing ever!
x
I love doodle books. Such a relaxing way to spend time! x
I would waste tons of time on that book, glad I don't have it XD Curling up with a magazine is so good, specially with HK beans and a cup of tea. Enjoy!
Haha I know that was a random post, I just dressed as Oprah for a costume party! It was super fun XD A friend of mine went as Julia Roberts and I interviewed her, and everybody got a car.
Aw, what cute presents (:

The Nina Chakrabarti book look amazing, although I probably don't need any more excuses to procrastinate really :P Food, tea and a magazine is an indulgence I haven't managed in aaages, who would've thought you'd have to do work in third year, eh? xx

I so want that coloring book! Wow.
I really don't buy so many magazines anymore. Occasionally, some for crochet.
This is so cool. Love the post and all these goodies.
I am a fan of Joseph Morgan's especially after seeing him as Klaus on TVD.
How fun! This was such a sweet post. I also tend to buy magazines more during the winter season.
The doodle book looks really fun.

omg the hello kitty jellybeans...loveeee
AHHH, I was THIS close to buying that book for myself, mostly because it has a picture of the Marc Jacobs mouse flats I've been coveting forever. I'm so excited for you!
Despite the cold factor, I always wish I loved in England. You have that cool factor (pun slightly intended).
Thanks for visiting my blog! :o)

Every single thing in this post made me go 'oooohh....like that!' Eating Hello Kitty jelly beans while doing some fashion colouring in seems like heaven!
I too like a good flick through a fashion magazine with a good cup of tea....I tend to read all year round, but I agree that I find myself doing more of it in the winter...and also if I'm off to the hairdressers, oddly! Probably because I dont want to read their ten lightyears out of date back issues!
I NEED those jelly beans. And that book for that matter.
what a great birthday gift!
i want one of those books ♥
oh i like this post! The hello kitty jelly beans are so cute! Did u get them in the uk? and yes, i know what u mean. I was a big time hello kitty fan when i was a kid and from where i came from (Dennmark), there was nothing Sanrio related.I used to buy all the Sanrio stuffs when i went to HK for vacations and bring them back home and all the kids got so jealous in class, lol.
Btw, i love that coloring book of yours! A good thing to doodle when you're free:)
Speaking of magazines, i tend to buy them quite often over there which is odd cuz they cost so much more here! My sis just came to HK from the UK and i told her to get me some glossy fashion mags, lol

that colouring books looks like it would be the perfect blogger's birthday present!
I buy more magazines in winter because they're more interesting! Honestly, the amount of swimwear-focused editorials come summer... just doesn't appeal to me!
That colouring book looks like fun and a great way to relax! I'm not too keen on Jelly Beans but LOVE hello kitty! x
the fashion book is such a great present! i love your blog Winnie :)

Happy belated birthday, Winnie!
What lovely presents! I love that color/doodling book and your Hello Kitty jellybellies! When Cath and I were about five, our bestie at the time brought us back Kerokerokeroppi pencil boxes from Japan. He doesn't seem to ever reach the popularity of his female cohort Hello Kitty. Poor guy!
i want that coloring book!!;)
Ohh my gosh, this coloring book is amazing! I'm adding it to my wishlist... :)

Oh Winnie, this post is liek my verison of near perfect. That colouring book is going onto my Christmas list RIGHT NOW and the Hello Kitty Jelly Beans look so cute. I like the Hello Kitty always reminds me of Hong Kong even though you can buy it here really easily, because all the HK girls at our school used to bring loads of merchandise and goodies back after the holidays.
I also adore curling up with a magazine. Although shocking I'm still trying to get through Vogue and Elle (my two favourites) from Aug/Sept/Nov before I can even start on Dec. Time is just so short atm, but like you, I tend to read them more in the winter- more time, for me work is much much quieter so I sometimes get shorter days and both TG and I are in full time study this year and living apart, so far fewer distractions!
aw i saw this illustrated fashion book and its going on my xmas list! :) x
iv bought hundreds of mags this month x
This is so amazing, I want one!
What a fab colouring book! I need to get myself one of those! Haha! Everything you said about Hello Kitty pretty much sums up my relationship with that darn cat too! x
