I love a good make up post and it's always interesting to see what other bloggers use on a daily basis. I've had this post ready for ages now but I have since used new photography because my make up routine changes - but these are things that I use all the time and the majority of the products are definitely going in my make up bag when I fly to Hong Kong this weekend. A lot of my make up are Asian brands as they just work so well with my skin in terms of colour and also their formula which are obviously targeted towards Asian skin types.
Sofina Sunblock, Dr. Jart BB cream Silver Label, Missha BB bloomer (Base)
Guerlain Eyeshadow (06 Les Fumes), Ipsa white eyeshadow, Dejavu Fiberwig Mascara, Rimmel Wake me up concealer, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner, Shiseido Grey Eyebrow pencil, Majolica Majorca lash expander frame plus, Urban Decay Primer Potion
My favourite eyebrow pencil - Shiseido Grey Eyebrow pencil
Burts Bees Balm, Shiseido Macquillage lipgloss (RS595), Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm (Romantic), Canmake Lipstick (Sweet Cherry)
Majolica Majorca Blotting powder, Clean & Clear Oil control film, MAC blush (Pink Swoon)
Some of my favourite brushes: MAC 168 Contour brush, MAC 182 Kabuki (in first pic) and Shu Uemura Eyelash curler.

Lastly, how cute is my make up brush holder? I am often browsing Not On The Highstreet for gifts so it was lovely to receive this from them and get a little present for myself instead! This Owl Pencil Pot/Vase is perfect for storing make up brushes and it's a very welcome addition to my room. He's a cutie!
As I mentioned before, I leave for HK this weekend for the next two weeks for a much needed holiday and you'll be able to see what I get up to on my Facebook page and my Instagram. I can tell you this much now, it will mostly involve eating....

So cute! I don't think you can under estimate a good brush, makes so much difference.
ReplyDeleteI really like your collection! That Shiseido lipgloss packaging is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe brush holder is really cute too! Mine's currently a cup from the V&A with a pattern on it XD

Love looking at your makeup...I have that same sunscreen - very nice and liquidy and great for humid days...that owl vase is adorable!
ReplyDeletecute owl brush holder
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what products bloggers actually use everyday. I bought some Majolica Majorca products when I was in HK but haven't actually opened any of them yet - oops! x
ReplyDeleteawww I Iove your brush holder! Well actually I love owls in general.. I wish I ha already found the right BB cream for me, but I guess I'm too convervative and stuck with primer and liquid foundation. Maybe because I need a lot of coverage for my tired looking skin… T.T
ReplyDeleteI agree with ninnikuneko... lovely!
ReplyDeleteAw, that owl is adorable! He would make me smile everyday if he was sitting on my dresser :) I always love seeing makeup posts like this, it's so interesting to see what people use. I've been debating getting some Asian base products (foundation/bb cream) ordered & shipped here, as I hear they're supposed to be really great for people with pale skin like mine, I can never get a perfect match, not even in the palest shades from brands here.
ReplyDeleteI love all your makeup storage, especially the owl! is all the perspex stuff muji?
ReplyDeletehave an amazing holiday - I cant wait to see photos!
It's all so clean and organised! I'd be ashamed to share my make-up routine (or lack of) but this post has nudged me to at least clean out my grimy make-up bag and have a clear-out...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Hong Kong! I was there five years ago and absolutely loved it.

ReplyDeleteOMG Winnie, i LOVE beauty posts!!! It's always interesting to see what other beauty products people use, as you mentioned:D I agree regarding using Asian brands but i do still use other western brands and mix it up a bit, lol. So far i like Estee Lauder:)
ReplyDeleteOkay, i got a few questions so here they are, ready or not!!! lol
Is the Sofina sunblock any good? I've not used this brand so wondering if their stuff is good:) I've not heard of Dr. Jart. Is it Korean?
The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion sounds interesting, any good?
I use Majolica Majorca mascara as well and been using it for years,i love it! But i was wondering if Dejavu Fiberwig Mascara is any good or better than Majolica? And did you get it in the uk or hk?????? the packaging is soo pretty and girlie:)
I LOVE Mac blush too! My friend from London gave me one last year when i went back for visit, and i've never stopped using it since! I just bought another one last month, lol..it's called Blush baby;)
and that owl brush holder is definitely very cute! I love how it's all white, such a clean and stylish look! and i like how you use those muji boxes to store your cosmetics.
P.S. Have fun in HK with all the eating and shopping!!! Hope you're prepared for the heat, hehe

Love the make up brush holder, so cute!
ReplyDeleteAdorable makeup brush holder :)
ReplyDeleteIt's actually really weird because my daily makeup routine is very simple and I don't use a lot of product (I bet my blog gives off the impression that I use a lot of stuff on a daily basis). I don't know how people find the time D: I'm always rushing or I'd rather have that extra time to sleep or eat lol
I tend to like Asian brands too but more for their skincare :)

I love make up posts too :) I wish I wore more make up. I literally wake up 10 minutes before I need to leave the house, so I have no time. I love the blush you use. Can't wait to try it out :)
