Japanese snacks and candy have always been firm favourites in our household, with Pocky and Pretz a particular favourite of mine. When I was in HK last Summer I found some Wasabi Pretz and made a note to bring some back but alas I didn't find them again. So when I saw these online over at Tofu Cute late one evening, I popped some in my shopping cart along with some Peko milk candy (milk candy is one of my favourites!) and some mini candy boxes. The wasabi Pretz definitely have strong wasabi flavour and are really moreish - a little like wasabi peas. When it comes to Japanese candy, sometimes the sweets aren't always that great but I am always won over by the super kawaii packaging!

ReplyDeleteIf you adore Japanese Snack try finding their candy called "Puccho", they are amazing they are fruit flavour chews with gummi pieces and sherbet capsules inside. They're amazing. And I should try those wasabi flavour pretz.... wonder if I can handle it.

I remember my science teacher brought a bunch of Japanese sweets in to class last year after he'd visited, everyone complained about how strange they were in comparison to our own but I secretly loved them! Can't for the life of me remember what they were, though...

I'm not a 100% sure but I think it is japanese snacks that are stocked at Selfridges and I'm ALWAYS tempted to buy some, the packaging always looks so appealing xx

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love going to Gerrard Street in London where there are a few stores selling the most beautiful kawaiipackaging, like you say it doesn't matter if the flavours aren't amazing as long as the box is cute! XX
