Sunnies - Rayban c/o Sunglasses shop, Necklace - Warehouse
The Custard Factory in Birmingham has always been one of my favourite places to hang around, especially when they have flea markets and vintage fairs on. It's a stones throw away from the Bullring shopping centre and it's a shame that since the regeneration of the area, they still have a problem with people venturing out to visit so I've seen shops come and go. One thing that doesn't change is that it is a hub of creativity with awesome graffiti (not surprising as specialised graffiti supplies store, The Bench 504 have a shop there) and this happy orange octopus lives just under one of the railway arches. I've walked past this smiling octopus quite often but never thought to take a photo here so I'm glad that on this day, I was equipped with a camera and a friend who has become pretty good with a camera and doesn't mind me directing them! On another note - this Marc by Marc Jacobs was an awesome sale find from Net-a-porter (sadly sold out now but available here). I'd admired it at full price a couple of weeks ago with Michelle and it didn't take long for me to click purchase. I probably shouldn't have consulted my Whatsapp group (hi Shopaholics Anonymous) before I made the purchase as the answer is ALWAYS yes.

Aw the octopus just looks so happy!

ReplyDeleteI've only been to Birmingham once and it was a fleeting visit. I have a few friends from there though, it seems pretty underrated in terms of creative. Love the little worker men! Be nice to see some more of Birmingham when you have time.
